Welcome Greeting from Chair

I am honored to welcome you to the 4^th Iranian International Congress of Entomology (4IICE) to be held at the Razi University, Kermanshah, Iran, from September 18 to 20, 2023. Since the prehistoric times insects have been closely associated with many aspects of human life, including agricultural production, food resources, infectious diseases, environmental conservation, culture, etc. and hundreds of scientist have been fascinated by studying the insects throughout the world.  During recent debates on global issues, such as climate change and population growth, insect scientists from various fields have been expected to collaborate in addressing these issues. The Entomological Society of Iran will make every effort in cooperation with other relevant organizations to ensure that 4IICE enhances the international presence of Entomology and provides a forum for meaningful academic international exchange. I especially hope that many young researchers will accept the challenge of presenting their papers at 4IICE and seize the opportunity to decrease distance between themselves and the surrounding world. I hope the congress will serve as a springboard, significantly contributing to the remarkable and world-wide advancement of our research fields. You can participate in active discussions and innovative lectures by distinguished researchers and scientists.

We are honored to be able to host this important International Congress in Kermanshah and we are excited to welcome you from many parts of the country and world. In addition to the academic program, we are waiting to welcome everyone and planning various social events. We also hope that many researchers and people accompanying them will visit Kermanshah province, and enjoy experiencing some of its culture, traditions, and natural environment of this beautiful province.
